You are sensitive. This is your blessing and your curse, because it is both what makes your art great, and what keeps you from sharing it fully.

Carrying a project to fruition can be daunting and difficult, but consider this:

The idea wouldn’t have come to you if you weren’t equal to the task of seeing it through.

When I say “equal to the task” I mean… you have it in you. You will need to unearth “it” for sure. It’s not fully present for you in your day to day life. It’s a vague inclination, a nagging feeling, an inner knowing. An “I can do this” that often gets usurped by other less useful thoughts. “What if this doesn’t work? What if I’m labeled a fool?”

Yea… what if? And so what? These are important questions to answer for yourself. You will likely find that you don’t have sensible answers. Mainly just fear.

Fear is not your friend. Fear makes you fragile, easily broken.

Your art needs to be delicate, not you.

You are the mother, not the baby.
