I used to believe that a good relationship was one in which nothing ever went wrong.

I now believe that a good relationship is one in which no one ever gives up.

Because giving up on it is like abandoning a work of art before it is finished.

You might get frustrated with it. You might forget why you began it in the first place. You might lose your passion.

Or you might stick it out. You might learn something you didn’t know about yourself or the world. You might really fall in love.

Fall in love… with yourself. And in so doing, learn to love someone else.

So much so that anything could “go wrong” in the relationship and you’d be certain of one thing:

Nobody is going anywhere.
